Who We Are

We are the CAP Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) the leading organization of board-certified pathologists. We provide pathologist-led, life-saving cervical and breast cancer screening to underserved women in the US. Our grant and award opportunities prepare pathology residents and fellows to meet medicine’s challenges, to enhance their training in laboratory quality, applied technology, science, and research.

 Annual Fundraising Event at CAP24

Walk the red carpet alongside pop culture’s biggest celebrities at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum! The CAP Foundation will combine the glamour of Tinsel Town with the fun of the Neon City in a unique event to celebrate and support our many programs that positively impact pathologists and patients.

Grants and Awards

The CAP Foundation offers grants and awards ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 to support pathologists, pathologists-in-training, and medical students interested in the specialty. These opportunities are focused on educating tomorrow’s pathology leaders, empowering pathologists to deliver innovations that improve patient care, and expanding the specialty’s reach to populations in need.

See, Test & Treat®

Since its inception, our See, Test & Treat program has screened more than 3,000 medically underserved women for breast and cervical cancer.
